Film Reel Relic Guide: Kowakujo Cursed Mode (BO7)

You want the Film Reel Relic in Kowakujo cursed mode. Congratulations on choosing self-punishment. This relic in Black Ops 7 Zombies rewards you with a curse that makes future runs harder, which is the game's way of laughing at your effort.

Call of Duty Boost

Requirements

Availability is simple and merciless. You need Cursed Tier 1 or higher, any round works, and the round number does not matter at all. The real task is to Pack-a-Punch 10 different weapons in a single match. Ten unique guns, not one gun ten times, because the game is not interested in your favorites.

ConditionDetail
Cursed TierTier 1 or higher
Round requirementNone, any round counts
Weapons required10 unique Pack-a-Punched weapons
Valid Pack-a-Punch methodMachine or upgrade Crystal
Invalid methodGobblegum-only upgrade does not count

A gobblegum-upgraded weapon still counts if you run it through the machine again afterward. In co-op the count is shared, so four players cannot each claim ten separately, they split the same ten between them. Coordinate or waste your points twice on the same gun like an amateur.

Portal Location

Once the tenth weapon is upgraded, Mr. Peeks laughs at you from somewhere in the ether, and the Tea Garden portal opens. Walk into it solo, or start a vote if you brought friends to share the misery.

The count only tracks distinct weapons. Pack-a-Punching the same rifle three times gives you zero extra progress and a lecture in humility.

The Faster, Dumber Way

There is a shortcut using the Samantha's drawing relic. It auto-upgrades your current weapon every round, essentially gun game for grown adults, so surviving ten rounds naturally satisfies the ten-weapon quota without spending a single point yourself. Whether this survives the next patch is not your problem, use it while it lasts.

The Trial

Inside the portal, five waves await, and zombies can only die to specific scorestreaks, cycled in random order. The lineup is Ion Core, HKD, D.A.W.G., ARC-XD, and LDBR. Everyone gets one of each at the start of a wave, extras must be crafted at the workbench, and crafting costs salvage you should have already farmed instead of complaining now.

Scorestreak

Method

Ion Core

Drop in open ground, train zombies in a circle around it

HKD

Bunch zombies close together before it detonates

D.A.W.G.

Sentry mode, train around it while it fires

ARC-XD

Drive away slowly, lure a loop, then detonate

LDBR

Call it to your feet, circle the area, drag zombies in

Timers per wave are tight, roughly a few minutes each, so improvisation gets you killed. Decoy grenades dropped exactly where LDBR or HKD lands cluster zombies straight into the blast, which is the closest thing to mercy this trial offers.

Preparation

Salvage is the currency that decides whether you survive or restart. Use Deadshot Daiquiri and salvage farming throughout the match well before you touch the portal. Two players clearing this trial used roughly twelve thousand salvage combined, around ten thousand each, and solo players should aim closer to fifteen thousand because nobody is there to carry you.

  • Equip Mule Kick for a burner weapon slot while you shop for the ten unique guns.
  • Bring Instakill gobblegum and cycle it by keeping two unused gums from the same pack active.
  • Practice each scorestreak in a normal match before risking a real attempt.
  • Farm essence with a fast-killing shotgun so buying and upgrading ten guns does not bankrupt you.

The Punchline

Clear all five waves, teleport back to the map, and the Film Reel Relic is yours. Its effect limits you to carrying only one Pack-a-Punch weapon at a time in every future cursed run, which is a fitting reward after you just juggled ten. The game does not want you comfortable, it wants you humbled.

Past round thirty a single upgraded weapon burns through ammo against elites fast, so this relic functions less as a power boost and more as a permanent self-imposed challenge. Wear it as a badge or avoid it entirely, the choice, unlike the trial, is actually yours.
