Prime Target Glitch Solo Guide: BO7 Season 4 Reload

This is the final operation of BO7 Endgame Season 4 Reloaded, and Treyarch saved the worst for last out of what can only be described as professional spite. The Prime Target Glitch packs three distinct boss encounters into a single run on Nightmare difficulty. You will be shot from directions that violate the laws of physics. That is not a bug. That is the game's personality.

The glitch is accessed near the lighthouse at Coastal Security on the Avalon map. Before you even enter, note the spawn bug: you load in with one armor plate. Take a single hit from any enemy to reset your plates to full. This is not a trick. This is mandatory.

DO NOT prestige your main operator before clearing this. Prestige wipes Combat Rating, Field Acquisitions, and loadout rarity. Suffer later, not now.

Prerequisites

You cannot walk up to this glitch cold. Operation King Killer is ten escalating steps of increasingly bleak objectives. Get through all ten. The final step unlocks the Prime Target Glitch. Missions start in Zone III or higher: if you are not there yet, go get there first.

• Collect command data across Avalon during early steps: vehicular objectives come first
• The Guild's Central Command Node location is only revealed after sufficient intel is gathered

Recommended Loadout

There is exactly one correct class philosophy for this: survive longer than the encounter. The Reboot perk is not optional. If you show up without it, you are completing a different, significantly shorter run.

Gunner not being on your class is a self-inflicted wound. It noticeably slows phase 2. Either fix that before you go in or accept the consequences quietly.

Phase Breakdown

The Opening Boss: Play it Like a Coward

The first Endgame glitch boss hits hard and the AI actively patrols the arena. Do not engage directly unless you enjoy eating armor plates. The correct approach: stay mobile, use the frost tactical to deal consistent damage from a distance, and let the equipment do work while you hide. Four hits to complete the first phase. It is manageable. It is also a preview of how much worse things get.

Hellcore: The Cheese Spot Exists, Use It

The second encounter involves GR6 robots and a Hellcore with a shielded core. The arena has a staircase on one side. Get under it. From that position you can hit the Hellcore's exposed core while the robot swarm struggles to draw a clear line of sight on you. Stay low. Throw equipment toward the core when the shield drops. Do not get hit by the projectiles the game calls "meatballs": they deserve that name. One-phasing this is achievable and significantly preferable to finding out what the next wave looks like.

Final Boss: Pure RNG, Controlled Suffering

The Prime Target Glitch boss moves. Where it spawns relative to your position determines how miserable this phase is. The preferred position is elevated: get up high, prone immediately. From there, the robots below cannot acquire you cleanly and you can fire down on the boss. The Sharpshooter Ion caps at 12,000 damage per hit on this target specifically. No workaround exists. Just volume of fire.

If the boss spawns behind you, reset. Cross the map. There is a self-revive collectible on the far side: grab it before engaging so your mistake budget is slightly less catastrophic. The boss returns to center periodically. Use that window. When he nukes a zone, leave that zone. This should not need stating, and yet.

RNG determines where the final boss spawns. If he appears behind you at the start, immediately disengage and reposition. Trying to fight from a bad angle is how runs end.

Complete the End of Dayz animated camo unlock by running the Prime Target Glitch with all three eligible operators. Individually, each run gets you a Data Freeze skin. Collect all three and the animated version drops.

The Data Freeze operator skin variants: Samuels gets a recolor, Wei Lin gets the same treatment, Kagan gets red tattoos and red hair highlights. Yes, that is the whole skin. You did three nightmare boss runs for tinted hair. Keep that in mind before you start.

The "End of Dayz" Camo: Is It Worth It

Teal snowflake texture. Animated skull pattern. Pink and teal color scheme. Covers the full weapon length, which is rarer than it sounds for a Black Ops 7 animated camo. The gunmetal sections have an alternate color pattern that actually looks intentional. It is the best camo obtainable through glitch content: damning with faint praise given the competition, but accurate. Cotton candy meets memento mori. Functional aesthetic.

Time Pressure: When This Disappears

Endgame remains free-to-play through Season 5, estimated around September 3, 2026. After that, the full game purchase is required. Black Ops 7 Season 5 is also the last window before Modern Warfare 4 launches and Activision's budget formally moves on. Operation King Killer and the Prime Target Glitch are live content: if the season ends and you have not run it, the reward window closes. Act accordingly or don't. The game does not care either way.
