ARC Raiders Dupers Banned: How to Report & Survive

Embark Studios shipped ARC Raiders with a game-breaking item duplication exploit. Players discovered they could clone any stackable item: grenades, ziplines, bandages, and most infamously, the Familiar Duck trinket (worth ~7,000 coins each, stacks of 15). Within hours of the exploit going public, PvP lobbies were knee-deep in duplicated Bobcat-4s and duck mountains. The ARC Raiders black market economy had arrived, and nobody asked for it.

Organized sellers listed duped gear on eBay, Discord, and Facebook groups. Asia Duo servers became a real-money trade convention. The extraction shooter game loop: find loot, survive, extract: turned into: log in, get stomped by someone who paid $8 on Discord for a stack of god-rolled weapons.

EMBARK DID NOT PATCH IT IMMEDIATELY. THEY LET IT RUN AND LOGGED EVERYONE.

Embark's silent honeypot approach: instead of killing the exploit at the root, they built detection systems first, let the dupers cook themselves into a ban list, then swung the hammer. Smart, if you enjoy watching people dig their own graves. The result: widespread enforcement actions beginning February 2026, including 30-day suspensions, 60-day suspensions, permanent bans, and hardware bans for the worst offenders. Duplicated items were wiped from inventories. Coins tied to exploit activity were removed.

How to Identify a Duper (Without Dying First)

You don't need to catch them mid-trade. You just need to deal one point of damage: enough to tag them and pull their name on the end-of-round screen. Then check their profile. It tells you everything.

Embark's own anti-cheat has, at times, caused confirmed dupers' raiders to spontaneously combust mid-raid, dropping their entire inventory on the floor. If you find a dead raider surrounded by a literal mountain of rubber ducks in Buried City Metro: congratulations, you've found a crime scene. Loot it and leave.

How to Report Without Wasting Everyone's Time

Player reports do matter here. Embark has confirmed they feed the investigation database. A flagged account gets reviewed and banned faster. Do not post on Reddit expecting action: that generates discussion, not bans. Report through the correct channels.

In-Game Report Steps

1. Deal damage to the suspect: one hit is enough to register them in your player interactions log.
2. End-of-round screen: find their name, open their profile.
3. Select Report → Cheating.
4. In the description field, type: duplicating / real money trade.
5. Submit. Move on. You won't see the outcome, but Embark emails reporters when action is taken.

DO NOT REPORT LEGITIMATE TRADERS. DO NOT THREATEN PEOPLE. THEY ARE NOT RUINING YOUR LIFE.

The ARC Raiders ban system runs on three strikes: 30 days, 60 days, permanent. Hardware bans exist for severe cases. Embark's stated position is fairness over speed: they validate data before acting, which is why waves come in batches rather than real-time. It is annoying. It works.

For higher-confidence reports with evidence: use the official Discord bug report channel. Include clips if you have them. Video evidence significantly accelerates review.

Post-ban wave, the ARC Raiders in-game economy is in recovery. Duped Bobcat-4s and Familiar Ducks still exist in stockpiles: the larger organized sellers had warehouses of alternate accounts loaded with gear before the exploit was patched. They are still selling. Slowly. Carefully. But the item duplication exploit itself has no safe active method. Every known variant: throwable dupe, quick-use slot dupe, network disconnect trick: has been patched or triggers detection. Embark's improved tracking and internal review tools mean new exploits get addressed in hotfixes measured in hours, not weeks.

Expect the economy to normalize over the next few expedition cycles as illegitimate stockpiles get consumed, accounts get banned, and gear re-enters via legitimate play. It won't be instant. The Embark Studios anti-cheat response has been validated: but this is, was, and will remain a cat-and-mouse game.

Surviving Hatch Zones (For Legitimate Players)

The side effect of mass duper-hunting: every hatch in the game now has a different kind of problem. Players camping extraction points looking for dupers: or just looking for anyone: have made hatches a death match zone regardless of why you're there. If you're doing a legitimate trade, Asia servers are currently hostile territory.

• Use voice chat first. Ask if they're hunting dupers. Most will talk.
• Toss a smoke grenade before activating the terminal. Wait before moving in.
• Use a Snitch Scanner near the extract: you'll know if someone's set up before you commit.
• Activate the hatch, then hide. Let others enter first. You have time.
• Consider switching servers if every hatch is camped. The Asia Duo servers are currently a warzone for unrelated reasons.

The ARC Raiders player trading community is legitimate and Embark has not restricted it. Seed-for-item swaps at Metaphorge are fine. What's not fine is flooding 50 Bobcats into an economy that was balanced around one dropping per successful expedition.

Where Things Stand

The ARC Raiders duping ban wave significantly reduced active exploit activity. Smaller, disorganized sellers are done. Larger operations still have stockpiles but no safe way to refill them. The current method is too hot to use: detection is live, and Embark's team reviews reports daily. New exploit variants will surface after major updates. Embark's Q2 2026 roadmap includes further anti-cheat upgrades. They are moving faster than they were at launch, which was not a high bar, but it's the right direction.
