Apex Legends Heirlooms: Pity System, Glitches & Season 29
Twin Razors universal heirloom, Ash's long-awaited prestige skin, a reactive RE-45 battle pass reward, and Conduit and Crypto legendaries.
Season 29, branded Overclocked, launched May 5, 2026. The theme is speed, technology, and high-energy combat, which conveniently describes what Respawn wants you to feel every time you open your wallet. The season introduces new Legend Axle: a hypermobile Skirmisher class character: alongside a batch of cosmetics that range from genuinely impressive to "somebody greenlit this."
This guide covers every cosmetic revealed in early access footage and confirmed by official patch notes: the Apex Legends Season 29 heirlooms, Battle Pass structure, prestige skins, reactive weapon skins, and the full legend skin lineup. Nothing is padded. If it's not here, it wasn't worth mentioning as our Apex Legends services.

The pity system still doesn't show you your progress in-game. You are still manually counting packs or trusting third-party calculators. This has been the case for years. No further comment needed.

The headline cosmetic of Season 29 is the Twin Razors: a universal heirloom available to every Legend on the roster. They are tonfa-style weapons with rotating laser blades, and they are, to be accurate, genuinely sick-looking. The animations show rapid spins, fluid melee strikes, and the kind of idle flourish that makes dying to a Flatline feel even more humiliating.
The Twin Razors Apex Legends heirloom is the final reward for the Overclocked Milestone Event, meaning you're not buying them directly: you're grinding or purchasing through the seasonal event pack structure. Four color variants are available: a base skin plus three recolors. Green goes the hardest. Red is fine. The others exist with a probably Apex Legends account help.

Bottom line: Among the better universal heirlooms Respawn has produced. The animation fluidity is noticeably above average and the laser blade aesthetic fits the Overclocked theme without feeling forced. Whether you think universal heirlooms dilute the experience is a philosophical question. This one at least looks the part.
The Ash prestige skin Apex Legends arrived with Split 1 of Season 29, and it makes an argument for being the best prestige skin in the game. That is not a marketing claim: it's what multiple people who have seen it in-game independently concluded, including the person with early access who has seen every prestige skin in the game on the same account.
Three evolution stages, each meaningfully different rather than just incrementally brighter. Level 1 features red facial markings with a distinct underworld aesthetic. Level 2 shifts to pink eyes with an alien-guardian halo that looks nothing like level 1: a completely different character. Level 3 is the max tier: upgraded halo, reinforced chest armor, changed legs. The execution is unusually thorough. Ash has been getting nerfed into irrelevance since September 2025, so naturally she gets her best cosmetic right after the meta stopped caring about her. Timing is everything.

As is Respawn tradition, expect a tactical buff to Ash's kit timed to coincide with the prestige skin going live. Her Apex Legends prestige skin will be tied to a major event before entering the Mythic Store permanently. It cannot be crafted with Crafting Metals.

The Battle Pass structure has not changed since Season 22 and will not change now. Two tiers: Premium at $9.99 and Premium+ at $19.99: each split into two separate passes requiring separate purchases. This remains Respawn's most controversial ongoing decision and also their most profitable one, so expect it to continue indefinitely.
The Apex Legends Season 29 Battle Pass Split 1 confirmed rewards, per official sources: Legendary skins for Conduit and Crypto, a Legendary Nemesis weapon skin, 10 Exotic Shards, and a Reactive RE-45 skin at Tier 60. The Premium+ version adds 1,200 Crafting Metals, 14 Apex Packs, additional skin variants, 10 pre-purchased Battle Pass levels, and access to all Legends during Split 1.

The mid-tier filler is exactly what you expect: banner frames, loading screens, Apex Packs, crafting materials, and stickers. The Wattson skin appearing in the AC Coins section is unremarkable but receives points for including her cat with laser eyes, which is canon lore and should have been in the game years ago.
The animated badge at the end of the pass features a moving motorbike. It doesn't do a trick. It just rolls. Someone made that decision and then went home and slept fine.
The RE-45 reactive skin Apex Legends is the standout weapon cosmetic of the season. It evolves across multiple upgrade levels, opening at the front to reveal internal laser components, and at max level draws comparisons to the Wingman's Merciless Wing skin. Iron sights are described as legitimately good: the rare case where a Battle Pass weapon skin is also a minor quality-of-life improvement.

The reactive Wingman recolor costs approximately 50 Exotic Shards and launched alongside the season on May 5. It is a reskin of an older Wingman skin, which is transparently what it is. Exotic shards Apex Legends pricing for this tier continues to be something you should think carefully about before spending.
The Nemesis in this pass somehow appears to have reduced recoil in early testing footage: whether this is a skin effect, a placebo, or genuine mechanical weirdness has not been officially clarified. Treat that claim with appropriate skepticism.
Seven legends receive skins in Season 29's first split: Axle, Conduit, Crypto, Lifeline, Seer, Wattson, and Horizon. Conduit gets two. The Conduit Apex Legends skin for Season 29 is particularly notable because Respawn also buffed her in the same update: she receives an extra Tactical charge and improved mobility. Cosmetic and mechanical timing perfectly aligned. Nothing suspicious about that.
Axle, as the new Legend, also receives Axle Apex Legends skins across multiple sources: Launch Bundle, Battle Pass, and event drops. This is standard new-legend treatment and reflects the "buy the pass, dress the character you're already playing" loop that has worked commercially since Season 22.
Overall skin quality this split: Above average. The Overclocked theme translates well to character design: metallic surfaces, sharp color palettes, futuristic silhouettes. Better than the grounded military aesthetic stretches of seasons past. Conduit's hair detail and Crypto's drone integration are highlights. The Flatline skin is a reminder that not everything can be a winner with full bunch of Apex Legends badges.
Respawn has moved away from the one-heirloom-per-season structure and is now releasing mythic items at a faster cadence through milestone events, collab drops, and split-timed releases. For players sitting on Heirloom Shards wondering when to spend, the Apex Legends heirloom shards 2026 calendar is busier than it has ever been.

The Apex Legends mythic weapon skin for the Alternator follows the established format of the R-301 and Wingman mythics: prestige tier, not craftable with Crafting Metals, premium event or store acquisition. The Alternator has been a community staple since the game launched. Whether its mythic treatment arrives with pay-to-win iron sights remains to be seen and, given recent patterns, seems likely.
Split 2 contains a second universal heirloom tied to an unconfirmed major collab event. Community speculation includes the Star Wars franchise following the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Buster Sword precedent, though Respawn has not confirmed this. Reveal timing will likely be days before it goes live, because Respawn prefers you have no time to think.
The community has requested an in-game Heirloom pack progress tracker since 2022. Other games have this. Other EA titles have this. Apex does not. A third-party calculator is still the best available option. This is described by no one as acceptable.
