Apex Legends goes full Night City. See event dates, new Cyberware mods, Cyberpsychosis rules and every skin in the Cyberpunk crossover.

The Apex Legends Cyberpunk event is finally here, and E-District has traded its usual look for the neon glow of Night City. If you spent the last few weeks refreshing leak pages, you can relax now. Everything is official, everything is live, and it is genuinely one of the more interesting crossovers Apex has done in a while.
The Apex Legends Cyberpunk release date is July 14, 2026, with the event going live at 10 AM PT across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. The Wildcard takeover does not stick around forever though, so mark your calendar before you get too attached to your new toys.
| Milestone | Date |
|---|---|
| Apex Legends x Cyberpunk event begins | July 14, 2026 |
| Night City Legends mode ends | August 4, 2026 |
| Cyberpunk Collection leaves the store | August 18, 2026 |
Note that the gameplay portion closes two weeks before the store collection does. If you only care about the skins, you technically have a bit more time. If you care about the mode itself, do not procrastinate.
Apex Legends Night City Legends is the new limited-time mode built inside Wildcard, and it comes with a full makeover of E-District. Think towering neon skylines, holographic koi drifting overhead and glitched-out corporate signage, all borrowed straight from the Cyberpunk aesthetic. It is the same map you know, just dressed up for a night out.
This is strictly an Apex Legends Wildcard event. Ranked and standard Battle Royale are not touched in any way, so your rank grind stays exactly as boring or exciting as it already was.
Two Cyberware mods headline the gameplay changes, and both are directly pulled from the Cyberpunk universe. Sandevistan Apex Legends players will recognize instantly if they know the source material, since it grants fast directional dashes and even recharges shields while you use it.
Blackwall Breach Apex Legends mod works differently. It lets you phase into the Net, reposition somewhere safer, then reappear with an EMP style burst that cracks enemy shields and reveals their location. It is less about raw speed and more about controlling a fight before it even starts.
Nothing in this event is free, and that includes your Cyberware. Apex Legends Cyberpsychosis builds up every time you use a mod, and once the meter fills, you get turned into a melee focused speed demon whether you like it or not.
Cyberpsychosis is not something you can just power through with good aim, because you lose your guns entirely. The only way out is finding an Immunoblocker Syringe on the map or a full reset Immunoblocker Cache, so keep an eye out before you overuse your mods in a fight you cannot afford to lose.
Used carefully, Cyberpsychosis can close out a fight nobody expected you to win. Used carelessly, it turns you into a very fast, very unarmed target.
The Apex Legends Cyberpunk skins lineup covers eight Legends, and the character pairings are genuinely well thought out rather than just reskins with a neon filter slapped on top.
Legend | Cyberpunk Character |
|---|---|
Axle | Lucy |
Sparrow | David |
Lifeline | V (female) |
Crypto | V (male) |
Rampart | Rebecca |
Loba | Panam |
Ash | Lizzy Wizzy |
Gibraltar | Royce |
Eight matching weapon skins round out the collection for the Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301 and Kraber. Iconic tier Legend skins are priced at 2150 Apex Coins where sold individually, though not every skin in the set is guaranteed to be purchasable on its own outside of a bundle.
The real centerpiece of the whole event is the Skippy Alternator Apex Legends Mythic skin. Skippy is the talking gun from Cyberpunk 2077, and Respawn brought the personality along with the paint job, complete with original voice lines that trigger on knocks and kills.
Since it is tied to a limited-time collab, do not expect Skippy to stick around in the store forever once the collection window closes.
You do not need to spend a cent to get something out of this. Eddies, the event currency, are earned simply by playing Night City Legends and finishing event challenges, then spent in the Reward Shop.
Week | Free Rewards |
|---|---|
Week 1 | Event pack, event badge, Epic skin for Valkyrie, stat tracker frame, Battle Pass stars, crafting metals |
Week 2 | Three packs (event, Epic and regular), Epic skin for Mirage, more Battle Pass stars and crafting metals |
Check the event tab regularly, since reward availability can shift slightly as the weeks progress.
This is not a random pairing. The Apex Legends x Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration lands right as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners returns for its new season on Netflix, and the timing is clearly intentional. CD Projekt Red has been steadily expanding the Cyberpunk universe across other platforms recently, and putting the aesthetic inside one of the biggest battle royale games on the market is a fairly obvious next move for both sides.
In other words, this collab exists to ride the wave of renewed Cyberpunk hype, and honestly, it is a smart one. E-District already leaned into a futuristic look before this event, so the Night City makeover feels less like a forced reskin and more like the map finally reaching its full potential.
Beyond the headline skins, the collection also includes Cyberpunk themed stickers and weapon charms scattered through the loot pool. They look good, though as usual expect a chunk of your collection pulls to land on stickers before you see the skin you actually wanted.
One thing fans openly wanted but did not get is a bit more crossover depth, specifically a Johnny Silverhand inspired skin for Fuse or a Revenant skin styled after Smasher. Both would have fit the theme almost too well, so their absence stood out as a missed opportunity rather than an oversight nobody noticed.
Overall, the event delivers on nearly everything it promised, and it is easily one of the stronger collabs Apex has put out. Just do not forget the clock is ticking on Night City Legends specifically, since August 4 comes faster than it looks.

The event runs July 14 to August 4 in Wildcard, while the Cyberpunk Collection stays until August 18.
Sandevistan grants quick shield-recharging dashes, while Blackwall Breach lets you phase into the Net and emit an EMP burst.
You gain speed and melee damage but lose your weapons, shields, abilities and ordnance until you find an immunoblocker.
No, Night City Legends only replaces Wildcard mode. Ranked and standard Battle Royale stay completely unchanged during the event.
Skippy is a Mythic Alternator skin with two voiced personality modes, upgradable using Exotic Shards for extra effects.
