Third Spark of Radiance from the Sparks of War

The Sparks of War: Voidstorm quest is this week's bonus route to a Spark of Radiance: the key crafting reagent used by professions in World of Warcraft: Midnight to create or upgrade high-end gear. The quest asks you to collect progress in the Voidstorm zone while War Mode is active, but actual player vs. player combat is entirely optional.

Note that the currency tab tracks sparks earned this season, but it does not include the extra spark gained from completing Midnight: World Tour. This means the apparent "2/2 Season Maximum" displayed is actually a total of 3 sparks available this week.

War Mode is required to gain progress on this quest. You can enable it from the talent screen while in a sanctuary zone (Silvermoon, Orgrimmar, Stormwind, or the Master's Perch in Voidstorm). While active, you become targetable by enemy players in non-sanctuary zones: though in practice, you are unlikely to be attacked while doing routine content.

How to Pick Up the Quest

• Enable War Mode from your talent screen while inside a sanctuary zone (Silvermoon, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind).
• Travel to Silvermoon City and locate Zerella in Falconwing Square near the Conquest Quartermaster (/way 67.2, 70.1).
• Accept Sparks of War: Voidstorm.
• Head to the Voidstorm zone (use the western portal from Silvermoon) and accumulate progress using the methods below.
• Return to Zerella to turn in and receive your Spark of Radiance.

Progress Sources & Rates

The following activities count toward the quest while War Mode is enabled. You do not need to fight any players. Note that rare mobs do not appear to contribute this time around: unlike similar quests in past seasons.

Fastest route: Completing 10 World Quests fills the bar in one efficient loop. Stashed Singularity Supplies chests are scattered across the Voidstorm zone (70+ spawn points) and the Master's Perch: grabbing a few along the way speeds things up noticeably.

Spark of Radiance A unique crafting reagent used by professions to create or upgrade powerful Midnight gear. Acquire enough sparks to craft endgame weapons and armor at expertise levels beyond normal crafting.

Sparks of Radiance are the primary progression material for crafted gear in Midnight. Whole sparks drop directly (replacing the fractured half-spark system from The War Within), and crafting costs have been updated accordingly.

Season maximum note: The currency tab will show 2/2, but this does not account for the spark awarded by Midnight: World Tour. Players who completed that quest already hold the correct total of 3 Sparks of Radiance this week.

What If I Don't Want War Mode?

No problem. This quest is entirely optional. Players who prefer to skip it can simply wait until next week's reset, at which point the spark becomes available through the standard catch-up system: obtainable by completing any max-level content such as Delves, Mythic+ dungeons, Raids, or outdoor events.

Stashed Singularity Supplies are small War Mode treasure caches found throughout the Voidstorm zone and the Master's Perch hub area. They appear on the minimap as standard treasure icons when War Mode is active.

Wowhead tracks over 70 spawn points in Voidstorm and 20 in the Master's Perch. Each looted cache gives 5 progress and has a short respawn timer, making them especially useful for players who prefer treasure-hunting over questing.

Tip: Install the TomTom addon and paste waypoint coordinates from the Stashed Singularity Supplies Wowhead page to mark all locations on your map automatically.
