WoW Midnight Warrior Transmog Sets for the End of the Night
Tired of Valeera standing in puddles? Use our Shadow Enclave Delve guide for WoW Midnight to survive Lord Antenorian and his void eyeballs!
The mechanic that defines this delve is the Eyes of Antenorian: enormous floating eyeballs that patrol the cave like overworked security guards. They will absolutely blast you with a frontal cone if spotted. You can, entertainingly, weaponize these same eyeballs against your enemies. So yes, the delve is literally asking you to use the cult leader's disembodied surveillance organs as a flamethrower. Moving on.

The Shadow Enclave is a Midnight Delve situated in the southwestern reaches of Eversong Woods, near the ominously named Ruins of Deathholme: because of course it is. This World of Warcraft Midnight Delves instance spans Tiers 1 through 11 and scales from "tutorial for people who've never played WoW" up to "please interrupt literally everything or you die instantly." The delve was added with Patch 12.0.1 on February 10, 2026, and was notable for being required during the main Eversong Woods story campaign, making it the one delve that every player on the planet has been softly confused by at least once.
The core delve mechanic: the Eyes of Antenorian: is a rotating patrol of unblinking void-eyeballs that spot players and unleash a heavy-damage frontal cone. The twist: that same cone damages mobs. If you are a person who enjoys watching elites get deleted by a disembodied eyeball, this is the delve for you.

Do not collect Sturdy Chests during Mirror Shine. The Darkness mechanic makes navigation a nightmare and you will spend more time sprinting toward a light beam than looting anything of value.
The Shadow Enclave features three distinct story variants, each with different objectives, enemy placement nuances, and exactly the same boss waiting smugly at the end. Completing all three is required for the The Shadow Enclave Stories achievement. The WoW Shadow Enclave variant pool rotates, so you will not always get to choose which flavour of suffering awaits. Below is the complete breakdown: as specific as the situation demands.

Mirror ShineMirror Shine |
Darkness replaces Eye patrols. Standing in dark = chance to be eaten by the Grue. Dazzled (+25% dmg taken) from standing in reflected light |
Destroy 6 Shadow Nexus by redirecting mirror light onto them |
Moveable mirrors: click to pick up, Extra Action Button to place; preview shows light landing area. Dropped if you enter combat |
No unique elites, but Darkness punishes disorientation hard |
None: you must interact with mirrors systematically |
Most mechanically unique variant. Do NOT collect Sturdy Chests here. Dazzled debuff also affects enemies: mirrors are a double-edged sword |
|
Traitor's DueTraitor's Due |
Standard Eyes of Antenorian patrol mechanic |
Phase 1: Destroy 2 Void Focuses. Phase 2: Destroy 3 additional Void Focuses. Then proceed to boss |
Void Focuses: destroyed by killing nearby mobs. Each of the 3 Phase 2 Focuses spawns an Elite on death |
Yes: 3 Elites spawn from Phase 2 Void Focuses. Use Eye cones to burn them down quickly |
High: you can jump down at the start, bypassing a large trash pack at the cost of fall damage |
The skip at the start is real and worth it. When using Eye cones on spawned elites, be careful not to knock skipped trash into your current fight |
|
Shadowy SuppliesShadowy Supplies |
Standard Eyes of Antenorian patrol mechanic |
Talk to Doleana first. Collect 30 Shadowy Supplies from floor pickups and enemy drops |
Supplies drop from slain enemies (auto-loot on contact) or are found as static items around the delve |
No unique elites |
Medium: you can choose your route and prioritize static supply nodes over mob kills |
Most forgiving variant for lower tiers. Enemy supply drops make combat meaningful even against weak mobs. Talk to Doleana before doing anything else |

The Shadow Enclave trash mob guide for WoW Midnight is shorter than you'd hope and more painful than you'd expect. All enemies are Twilight's Blade cultists: fanatics who have, against all reasonable advice, decided that serving the Void from inside a cave in Eversong Woods is a sound life plan. The following are the mobs that will actively ruin your run if ignored. Everything else can be treated as an obstacle with a health bar.

Mob Name |
Type |
Dangerous Ability |
Interrupt Priority |
Notes |
|
Twilight Ogre Mage |
Ranged Caster |
Sullen Shadow Bolt: high damage, interruptible. Standard Shadow Bolt is minor and ignorable |
HIGH: interrupt Sullen Shadow Bolt exclusively |
Two different casts, same visual. Sullen is the dangerous one. Do not waste kicks on the regular Shadow Bolt |
|
Umbral Skullcrasher |
Melee |
Twilight Crash: charge-then-jump AoE. Sacrificial Aegis: large absorb shield, interruptible |
MEDIUM: interrupt Sacrificial Aegis, especially if paired with casters |
Twilight Crash has a readable charge-up. Step out of its landing zone. If casters are in the pull, deprioritize interrupting Aegis in favour of Sullen Shadow Bolt |
|
Shadowburn Vortex |
Elemental Caster |
Malicious Ray: interruptible channel on nearby players, moderate damage |
HIGH: always interrupt the channel |
Large elemental, easy to spot. Malicious Ray is a hard channel that will significantly deplete your health if left alone on higher tiers |
|
Eyes of Antenorian |
Delve Mechanic / Patrol |
Frontal cone: heavy damage + knockback on detection. Mirror Shine variant replaced by Darkness / Grue mechanic |
N/A: avoid line of sight, or bait cone onto elites deliberately |
These are weaponizable. Lure elites into the cone path. In Traitor's Due, save the Eye cones for the elite spawns after Void Focus destruction |

The Shadow Enclave boss guide WoW section exists primarily to help you survive Lord Antenorian: the governor of Tranquillien who, it turns out, was running a void cult the entire time. This betrayal is almost impressive in retrospect. He is widely regarded as the most difficult boss in Midnight Delves due to a genuine DPS check that punishes slow players and an Eye of Revelation mechanic phase that will kill anyone who misses their rotation cooldowns at higher tiers. There is no phase separation: it is one continuous fight with escalating cast density and a Teleport ability that makes positioning about as predictable as a cat near a glass shelf.
Shadow Bolt: Frequent, interruptible cast. Deals moderate Shadow damage. Missing an interrupt at Tier 8+ may require a defensive cooldown. All interrupts in this fight should default here. Interrupting Shadow Bolt also repositions Lord Antenorian after a Teleport, which makes kick timing doubly valuable.
Teleport: Lord Antenorian blinks a short distance in a random direction. He leaves a persistent damage-over-time puddle tracing the path between his old and new position. Standing in this puddle is extremely inadvisable. He has no preference for where he teleports, which means he will sometimes blink directly into a corner full of previously manageable puddles. Try to keep him near the centre of the room. Valeera will stand in at least one of these puddles per fight. This is simply her way.
Shadowveil Annihilation: Lord Antenorian becomes immune and begins a long channel. If the channel completes, it deals lethal Shadow damage to all players. To interrupt it: Antenorian links to 3 Shadow Orbs and shields himself and 2 of them. Destroy the unshielded orb first: a second orb becomes targetable. Destroy that orb: the third becomes targetable. Destroy the third orb: Antenorian's shield breaks, the channel ends, he is stunned, and takes increased damage. This is the DPS check. Fail to kill orbs in time: you die. Save your damage cooldowns for this phase. Ensure Valeera is alive entering this: she deals substantial damage to orbs.
Positioning tip: interrupt Shadow Bolt specifically to force repositioning after Teleport. Keep the fight centred. Cooldowns go to Shadowveil Annihilation orb phase. Valeera on healer spec is slightly safer but her DPS in orb phase matters on Tier 9+. Your call.
The Shadow Enclave Tier 11 guide wouldn't be complete without covering the quests attached to it, because yes, there are rewards beyond the gear that drops from Antenorian's corpse. The most important is the one-time first-clear quest: pick it up the second you enter the delve and do not skip it under any circumstances. Icy Veins' own leveling guide specifically flags Shadow Enclave as a quest-mandated delve during the Eversong Woods story campaign, making it one of the few delves every player will complete whether they want to or not.

There is no hard gear requirement to enter the Shadow Enclave: Blizzard lets you crawl in at any item level and suffer accordingly. That said, the practical reality of WoW Midnight Eversong Woods delves and the Tier scaling system means your experience is dramatically different at various ilvl brackets. Tiers 1–4 are achievable fresh off leveling at ilvl 580-600 range. Tiers 5–7 begin to punish stat deficiencies, particularly when Lord Antenorian's Shadowveil Annihilation DPS check enters the picture: your window to kill the three orbs shrinks noticeably below ilvl 620. Tiers 8–11 are where Valeera Shadow Enclave companion tips matter most: optimizing her role (tank for survivability, DPS for the Annihilation orb window) and ensuring she does not stand in Teleport puddles becomes genuinely impactful, not just nice-to-have. At Tier 8+, delve completions count toward the World row of the Great Vault and reward up to ilvl 259 gear from Bountiful Coffers: the single best reason to push past the comfortable mid-tiers. The Shadowveil Annihilation orb DPS check is the wall. If you are failing it consistently, the answer is almost always either more gear or better cooldown management during that specific 8-second window, not more attempts at the same ilvl.

The Shadow Enclave has two dedicated achievements worth pursuing: both tied to content that requires actual delve runs rather than existing in your achievement panel as taunts. There is no achievement for watching Valeera stand in a puddle, which is a missed opportunity. Completing both of these is required if you care about your Midnight achievement score, and one of them will send you back into the delve three separate times, one per story variant. The WoW Shadow Enclave achievement completion also feeds into broader Midnight Delves meta-achievements.
Complete each story variant of The Shadow Enclave. Requires one clear each of Mirror Shine, Traitor's Due, and Shadowy Supplies. Any difficulty counts.
The Shadow Enclave Discoveries
Find and open all 3 Sturdy Chests hidden within The Shadow Enclave. Chests are accessible in all variants but are strongly inadvisable to collect during Mirror Shine due to the Darkness mechanic.
The Shadow Enclave is, by Midnight Delve standards, one of the mechanically richest solo instances in the game: and arguably the cruelest to players who show up underprepared. The Eyes of Antenorian mechanic rewards players who treat mob positioning as a resource rather than a nuisance. Lord Antenorian's Shadowveil Annihilation is one of the only genuine DPS checks in delve content, which means it is also the most satisfying mechanics when the third orb pops and Antenorian staggers, stunned, while Valeera dramatically stabs him from stealth. The three variants provide meaningful replayability. The achievements are achievable without excessive suffering. And the quest rewards: particularly from Void Walk With Me: give the whole experience a narrative weight that most delves lack. Go in. Interrupt things. Save your cooldowns for the orbs. Don't stand in the puddles. Valeera will anyway. That's fine. She's doing her best.

Lord Antenorian's Shadowveil Annihilation has the tightest DPS check of any Midnight delve boss, making this the most punishing for undergeared players at Tier 9 and above.
Yes: jump down near the start to bypass the opening trash pack. You take minor fall damage. Don't use Eye cones near the skipped group later.
Healer for Tiers 1–8 for general safety. On Tier 9–11, consider DPS spec specifically to help burn Shadow Orbs during Shadowveil Annihilation before the wipe timer.
Break line of sight behind objects, or intentionally bait cones onto nearby elites. Never fight with your back to a patrol path.
No: all 3 Sturdy Chests are available in every variant. Avoid collecting them during Mirror Shine due to Darkness hazards making navigation painful.
Yes. It is mandatory during the Eversong Woods main storyline. You will complete it at least once whether you want to or not. Might as well learn the mechanics.
