The Ancestral Bear Titan is still the hardest-hitting league-starter in PoE 2 Patch 0.5. Full guide updated: passive tree, gems, weapon sets...
You turn into a bear and flatten maps with Furious Slam. That is the entire pitch. The PoE 2 Titan best build takes the Warrior's already-bloated damage nodes, stacks them with Bear Form's Rage mechanics, and produces screen-wide craters on a budget that won't make you cry into your currency tab.
The core loop: generate Rage with Maul, spend it with Furious Slam, watch everything die. Endgame you add Ferocious Roar before every slam for both Rage top-off and the Amor Mandragora speed stacks. Two buttons. Revolutionary.
Bhatair's Vengeance nerfed: cold damage conversion now requires 2 Rage per 1% (was 1:1) and duration dropped to 15s. Still worth running. Crafting overhaul limits items to a single crafted modifier: the old triple-essence Talisman method is dead.
Druid gives you Bear Form too. Titan gives you Bear Form and reason to use it. Hulking Form amplifies every small passive node on the tree by 50%: the dozens of damage and life nodes you're pathing through suddenly do half again as much work. This single ascendancy passive is why the Path of Exile 2 Warrior build running Titan simply scales harder than its Druid counterpart.
Ancestral Empowerment boosts every second slam by 20% damage and 20% area. Combine it with Fist of War III and you get a second, overlapping Ancestral Boost proc: the Furious Slam AoE becomes comically large. Then Warrior's starting tree delivers Singular Purpose and Crushing Verdict wheels for early consistent damage scaling that Druid simply does not have access to from the jump.
Maul→Maul→Furious Slam
Two Mauls build 10 Rage. Furious Slam spends those 10 to Enrage: bigger radius, more damage, Jagged Ground spawned. Bear standing = faster Furious Slam cast time. Do not overthink it.
Ferocious Roar (Set 2)→Furious Slam (Set 1)→Repeat
Ferocious Roar on weapon set 2 generates Rage in bulk and forces the bear to stand, enabling immediate faster Furious Slam. The Amor Mandragora in set 2 stacks up to 30% increased Skill Speed via Druidic Prowess. Use Walking Calamity whenever Glory is ready. Drop Shockwave Totems on bosses.
Let your Rage drop low mid-map. Ferocious Roar requires 20 Rage to bypass its cooldown (Enraged Warcry I). Furious Slam can spend up to 20 Rage. Do the math and stay topped off: spam Ferocious Roar at map start.

Support gems require approximately Str 85 / Dex 35 / Int 30. Prioritise these attribute thresholds on gear before chasing resistances.
The Bear Slam weapon swap mechanic is what separates players who clear T16 from players who cry at T12. Open the Skills Panel, hit the pop-out arrow on each skill, and assign weapon set restrictions as follows:

Equip Amor Mandragora exclusively in weapon set 2. Every Rage expenditure via Ferocious Roar in set 2 stacks Druidic Prowess, granting up to 30% increased Skill Speed: which carries over when you swap back to set 1 to slam.
The Titan passive tree starts at Warrior's location: one of the strongest early damage clusters in the game. Rush Singular Purpose and Crushing Verdict wheels first. The Warrior's physical damage nodes are the reason this isn't a Druid build.

Pure Armour Endgame: higher armour ceiling, expensive, stronger vs hits. Lightning Coil Endgame: budget-friendly, Charge Regulation synergises better, weaker vs multiple small hits. Run Lightning Coil first and transition when currency allows.
The old triple-Perfect-Essence method is dead: 0.5 limits items to one crafted modifier. The spirit of the craft survives via the new Rune system, but the exact steps require in-patch testing. Core targets remain unchanged:

Enraged Warcry I requires 20 Rage minimum. Furious Slam spends up to 20. Stay topped off or this breaks.
Titan. Hulking Form plus the Warrior passive tree outscale Druid's AoE options at every budget level.
Mana Leech on a Ring or Glove. Out of combat issues? Swap one flask slot to a Mana Flask temporarily.
Lightning Coil first: cheaper, viable. Transition to Pure Armour once you have the budget and armour-ele suffixes.
Walking Calamity leeches from that portion. Quality of life. Cold is fine if you want easier Bhatair's Vengeance procs.
