BLG's Bin against IG demonstrated the cleanest expression of top-lane carry potential at MSI. Zoning someone away is nearly as valuable as a kill. You remove them from the equation without burning cooldowns. Most players don't understand this, which is why most players are hardstuck.

Pre-14 minutes, Homeguards now grant 80% movement speed ramping to 40%. Post-14 minutes: 150% ramping to 65%. The intent was to help laners recover. Place wards. Base. Refill. Come back. Your opponents clear your first batch with Sweepers and Umbral Glaive. You arrive with a fresh batch before they reload. This is not sophisticated. It just works, because your opponents don't do it.
Think of your ward coverage as a line that you push forward incrementally. River first. Then river plus enemy jungle entrance. Then deep jungle. Each recall lets you extend the line.
