Welcome to the only Throne and Liberty PVE DPS tier list that won't waste your time pretending every class is viable. Some builds hit 300k on the training dummy. Others hit 60k and pray someone notices their "utility." The gap is not small. The meta is not kind.
This guide ranks weapon combos by sustained damage output in endgame PVE: dungeons, boss rooms, and the merciless Talandre wastelands. Rankings assume full PVE-dedicated gear, Arc Boss weapons: primarily Tevit Wand, Tevit/Abyss Orb, and Desonoa Staff: plus properly allocated traits and rotations. If you're running blues, this list will hurt your feelings regardless of tier.
The ugly truth: Wand and Orb are the two most broken weapon types in the game right now. Any combo built around them sits near the top. That's not class design, that's an oversight NCSoft hasn't fully patched. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Benchmarked on the puppet dummy. Best-in-slot gear assumed throughout.

A-tier builds hit around 150k on the dummy. They're welcome in a party, but you'll be watching S-tier players top the damage chart while you "contribute." That said, some of these have real strengths.
Paladin (Wand + Greatsword) is the most self-sufficient build in the game. Solo dungeon clear at end-game is not a meme for this class: it's reality. The Tevit Wand gives it absurd sustain and a damage floor that other A-tiers envy. Some players have cleared DGs solo with this. Impressive? Yes. Meta? Still no.
The Eradicator (Greatsword + Dagger) lands in A-tier thanks to exceptional mobility and strong single-target output. In dungeons where movement matters, this combo earns its keep. The Darkblighter (Wand + Dagger) sits just below S due to heavy reliance on Dagger procs for damage: when they don't fire, the DPS gap widens fast.
B and C-tier builds aren't worthless: they're contextually useful. Staff + Longbow is the cleanest sniping combo in the game, comfortable for players who enjoy distance. Spear + anything offers the fastest trash mob clear in the game; if you need to sweep dungeon rooms, Spear-based builds do it fastest.
The Gladiator (Greatsword + Spear) and Spellblade (Staff + Greatsword) hit C-tier because their AoE is genuinely good but their boss damage is forgettable. They're the builds you see in casual guilds and politely avoid in high-end APT recruitment.
The current Throne and Liberty DPS meta is driven by two broken weapon types: Wand and Orb. Any combo that includes at least one of these sits near the top. This isn't class balance: it's the math behind Dark Apostacy weapon mastery, Orb placement mechanics, and the specific Arc Boss drops that amplify these weapons disproportionately.
The equilibrium point, where classes are roughly balanced, starts around 120k DPS. Everything below that line is functional. Everything above it exists because one or two skills in those classes deal numbers that weren't intended. Endgame party recruitment in this game doesn't care about your personal arc. It cares about your dummy parse.
Gear note: All rankings assume Arc Boss weapons: specifically Tevit Wand, Tevit Orb or Abyss Orb, and Desonoa Staff. Running anything below this tier shifts your numbers significantly. The tier list holds in shape; the absolute values do not.
Every dungeon party requires a tank to pull aggro, a healer to keep the DPS alive (despite their best efforts), and ideally a support that amplifies the damage dealers. The Oracle (Wand + Orb healer variant) is currently the strongest healer in the game: capable of singlehandedly sustaining a group through massive incoming damage via shielding and high output heals.
A party without a tank and healer is a pile of respawn timers. Don't be that party.

Crossbow + Orb (Oracle/Crucifix). Highest ceiling, over 300k on the dummy with proper gear and low ping.
Yes. It's the most versatile DPS. Not #1, but always wanted in party. Wand + Staff scales extremely well.
In casual guilds, yes. For advanced party content and APT recruitment, expect to be passed over frequently.
Abyss Orb dropped and broke the formula. Staff + Orb burst is now legitimate S-tier. NCSoft will notice eventually.
No. But they need to know which DPS builds they're keeping alive: S-tier DPS dies fastest when cocky.
