Delta Force Season 9 Echo Operator Tier List

This is a Delta Force Season 9 tier list focused on Warfare. Operations rankings differ, particularly for Morse, who is substantially stronger on tighter extraction maps. That distinction will be noted once per operator and then left alone.

Aftershock note: Earthquake cycles on Aftershock destroy static deployables mid-match. Shepherd, Gizmo, and anyone relying on fixed traps takes a hit on that specific map. Factor it in before locking.

Full Tier List: Season 9

Tier

Operator

Class

S

Viron

Assault

Jump pack, vehicle destruction, works on every map including Akh Canal's open lanes. Unchanged.

S

Stinger

Support

Full-HP revives, always-on healing pistol. No season touches the core math here.

S

Hack Claw

Recon

Returning kill knife, silent crouch, detection ultimate. Still the most aggressive Recon pick available.

S

Alur

Engineer

Guided munitions, deployable cover, incendiary grenades. Akh Canal's vehicles feed him personally.

A

Tempest

Assault

Combat roll, free life, drill charge. Pure kill output. Nothing in Season 9 touched her kit.

A

Luna

Recon

Wall-hack marking, volt arrow area denial, 9.5% competitive pick rate. Lara Croft skin did not make her better.

A

Morse

Recon

Sonar ultimate, jammer, enhanced hearing passive. Dominant in close quarters. Open maps expose his weaknesses.

A

Toxic

Support

Dragonfly swarms on choke points. Adrenal boost remains underrated for weapon handling. Half-HP revive is still the price.

A

Suneva

Engineer

Post-rework versatility holds. EOD shield plus accessible weapon is legitimately useful on any map type.

B

Knox

Assault

Stealth flanks, cross-squad beacon spawns. Akh Canal's open spaces limit him compared to infantry maps.

B

Shepherd

Engineer

Strong on defense. Traps vanish on death. Aftershock earthquake destroys them mid-match. Map-dependent as ever.

B

Raptor

Recon

Best passive in the game. EMP now counters Morse's sonar device directly: niche value that moved him up from C.

C

D-Wolf

Assault

Crouch slide, exoskeleton, smoke grenade. Still the least interesting assault pick. Unchanged and unbothered.

C

Gizmo

Engineer

Crawler nests still outlive him. Net trap is still a mixed bag. Aftershock demotes him further on rotation.

C

Glender

Support

Animation speed still kills Warfare viability. No buff arrived. Still waiting.

D

Vlinder

Support

Operations specialist in a Warfare tier list. 55m rescue drone is extraordinary in the right mode. This is not that mode.

S Tier: Nothing Changed Here

Viron: Assault

Akh Canal is vehicle-pressure heavy with river-based flanks and open sightlines. Viron was made for this map. Jump pack mobility, high-explosive launcher vehicle destruction, and infantry utility in the same kit. The best assault operator Season 9 conversation ends at Viron. Tempest is close in kill output; nobody else competes for Viron's map coverage.

Stinger: Support

Six-shot healing pistol that requires no charge. Full-HP revives. Smokes for cover. Nothing in Season 9 touched him because there is nothing to touch: the kit does what support kits are supposed to do and does it without animation delays or mode-dependency clauses.

Hack Claw: Recon

Kill with the data knife, get the knife back. Two knives in inventory disables two active defense systems. Silent crouch. Detection ultimate for objective pushes. Luna's information package is broader; Hack Claw's aggression ceiling is higher. Both belong in the same tier. They serve different playstyles.

Alur: Engineer

Guided munitions became even more relevant with Akh Canal's vehicle density. Deployable cover, incendiary area denial, cluster bomb deployment on infantry choke points. The best engineer operator Delta Force S9 is still Alur and it is not close. Season 9 gave him a better map, not a worse one.

A Tier: Strong With Caveats

Tempest: Assault

Combat roll. Emergency evasion device for a free life. Drill charge at 60 damage with a multi-second disable. The sweatlord choice remains the sweatlord choice. No Season 9 changes touched her kit. She is exactly where she was.

Luna: Recon

Wall-hack marking on every hit, volt arrow for area denial and zone control, the highest competitive pick rate in the Recon class at 9.5%. The Lara Croft Tomb Raider skin drops April 30 as a seasonal collab cosmetic: it does not add abilities, but it does make her more noticeable to shoot at, which is arguably a nerf. Still A tier regardless.

Morse: Recon (New)

Already covered above in his spotlight section. A tier in Warfare is accurate: dominant in close quarters and on Zero Dam, inconsistent on large open maps. The jammer alone justifies his slot in many squad compositions as pure disruption. Pair him with Luna: she marks enemies who stay still, he punishes enemies who move and make noise. The combination covers most scenarios.

Toxic: Support

Dragonfly swarms into choke points on Akh Canal's tighter corridors hit hard. Adrenal boost converts slow-handling weapons into usable ones. Half-HP revives remain her ceiling limitation. Nothing changed, nothing needed to.

Suneva: Engineer

The Season 8 rework: weapon access while EOD shield is active: carries forward. He is not Alur. He is versatile enough that the second engineer slot in a squad goes to him over Shepherd on most Season 9 maps.

B Tier: Map-Dependent, Still Useful

Raptor: Recon (Moved Up from C)

Raptor's EMP grenade destroys Morse's sonar device. That single interaction gave him genuine counter-play value that did not exist last season. His passive: orange direction warning when someone aims at him: remains elite for snipers. The rest of his kit is still clunky. He moved up because Raptor EMP counter Morse is real and relevant in coordinated Warfare. On maps where you expect Morse, Raptor becomes the correct flex pick.

Knox: Assault

Akh Canal's open design limits his flanking routes compared to infantry-heavy maps. Cross-squad beacon spawns and dual whirlwind discs still work. B tier is correct. Play him on closed maps and enjoy the stealth aggression.

Shepherd: Engineer

Traps disappear on death. Aftershock earthquakes destroy traps mid-match regardless. He holds choke points brilliantly on attack-and-defend. He is a liability on Aftershock rotation specifically. B tier with an asterisk.

Operator Picks by Map: Season 9

Akh Canal joins the rotation and changes which operators earn their slot. The best operators Akh Canal Warfare list skews toward mobility and vehicle counter-play.

Recon Class: Three Operators, Three Jobs

Season 9 gives Recon three distinct roles with no overlap. The recon class Season 9 Delta Force comparison is straightforward: Luna provides continuous passive intel; Hack Claw provides aggressive forward pressure; Morse provides area-denial sonar and jammer disruption on maps where those tools have range to function. Running Luna and Morse together covers both intel angles. Raptor exists to counter Morse with an EMP and notify snipers of incoming aim.

Support Class: Still Stinger's World

Vlinder arrived last season with remote revival capability that works in Operations. Glender still has animation speed that does not work in Warfare. Stinger still does the job better than both. The support operator guide Season 9 has not changed materially since Season 8.

Delta Force Season 9 Echo Operator Tier List FAQ

Is Morse good in Delta Force Season 9 Warfare?

A tier on tight maps and Zero Dam. Drops off on Akh Canal. Jammer alone justifies picking him on most maps.

What is the best operator on the new Akh Canal map?

Viron for assault, Alur for engineer: vehicle-heavy map rewards both. Luna handles the intel angle.

Did Raptor get better in Season 9?

Yes. EMP now counters Morse's sonar device directly. Niche counter-play bumped him from C to B tier.

How do you counter Morse in Warfare?

Raptor's EMP destroys the sonar device. Slow-play with no noise disciplines his ultimate into a whiff.

Is Vlinder still bad in Season 9 Warfare?

D tier Warfare, strong Operations. No buff arrived. Animation speed still loses races against walking to a body.
