Unfall God Roll Destiny 2: Best PvE & PvP Perks
Destiny 2 just shipped its final patch. Here's every fix, this week's loot, and a free Unfall god roll before the servers go quiet

Another Destiny 2 weekly reset has arrived, and for once the headline isn't hyperbole: patch 9.7.0.3 is genuinely the last one. No more balance passes, no more bug fixes, no more Bungie quietly apologizing for something they broke six months ago. Enjoy the corpse while it's still twitching.
Reputation gain from Vanguard and Crucible Ops went up, because apparently grinding rep for a game with no future updates needed to be less miserable. A few Crucible exploits got patched, Trials of Osiris got a chest fix, and a Meltdown out-of-bounds spot got sealed. Riveting stuff.

Area |
Change |
|
Crucible/Vanguard Rep |
Increased reputation gain across Ops activities |
|
Trials of Osiris |
New Ghost shells now actually drop from the flawless chest for everyone |
|
Maps |
Meltdown exploit fixed, map re-enabled everywhere |
|
Deep Stone Crypt |
Elevators no longer randomly execute you |
|
Duality |
Master mode actually available now |
|
Focusing |
Old Iron Banner and Trials armor sets now focusable |
Players used Divinity to melt Insurrection Prime outside the intended damage window, turning a raid boss into a minute-long chore. Bungie killed it permanently, and their own developer note offered condolences to everyone who now has to learn the encounter properly. Sadists, the lot of them.
The Pantheon boss that made tethering a solo chore got reverted to launch-day rules, where one person's tether buffs everyone attached. It was the least-loved encounter in the raid, and it took them this long to just undo their own mistake. Efficiency was never Bungie's brand.

This week's rotation pairs old favorites with new loot tables. Salvation's Edge armor gets the Promised Victory set, rewarding sustained damage against powerful combatants with resistance and burst damage. Meanwhile Vow of the Disciple armor brings the Resonant Fury set, a melee-and-glaive niche build that heals you for switching weapons. One is generally useful, the other is a build-a-friend science project.

Activity |
Featured Set / Loot |
Notable Perk |
|
Salvation's Edge |
Promised Victory armor |
Damage resistance and bonus weapon damage from Stable Resonance |
|
Vow of the Disciple |
Resonant Fury armor |
Health regen from melee, stacks consumed on weapon swap |
|
Vesper's Host |
Spacewalk armor + tier-five weapons |
Grenades disorient, primaries punish disoriented enemies |
|
Duality |
Deep Explorer set (PvP disabled) |
Too strong in Crucible, permanently neutered there |
Anyone chasing Vesper's Host weapons should prioritize it this week, the auto rifle and area-denial grenade launcher alone justify the grind. Duality's return is mostly a scheduling leftover from last week's glitch, not a genuine spotlight.
This week's Pantheon raid guide shortcut sends you straight to Galan and War Priest, no need to slog through earlier bosses first. Galan drops the Bane of Sorrow machine gun and a Teraba catalyst chance. War Priest drops Zol's Bane, and nobody is thrilled about that fight's existence, let alone farming it.
Complete three Fireteam or Arena Vanguard Ops activities for a Nightshade with the Accelerated Assault origin trait, part of this week's rotating Destiny 2 Vanguard Ops rewards. The Grandmaster Vanguard Alert on Exodus Crash drops Adored, a sniper that reloads mid-fight when the trait procs, assuming the PvE roll doesn't disappoint you first.
This week's Vanguard Arms weapon is Unfall, an Arc rocket-assisted sidearm with a unique origin trait that overflows bonus damage into Sturm when paired together. Chasing a good Unfall god roll normally means grinding Portal Solo and Fireteam Ops activities, but Zavala is handing out a guaranteed pick this week. Take it.

Verdict |
|
1 |
Lead from Gold |
Jolting Feedback |
Most popular combo, ammo economy plus chain jolts |
|
2 |
Reverberation |
Rolling Storm |
Better for Arc bolt-charge builds |
|
3 |
Impulse Amplifier |
Jolting Feedback |
Fine, but no magazine perk to compensate |
|
4 |
Reverberation |
Rolling Storm (Appended) |
Actual mag increase, worth grabbing as a second copy |
|
5 |
Lead from Gold |
Jolting Feedback (Tac Mag) |
Tac Mag barely helps, skip in favor of roll 1 |
Grab the Lead from Gold / Jolting Feedback roll first. If you already own that one, the Reverberation / Rolling Storm copy is the only other version worth a second inventory slot.
The previous Iron Banner armor set, Iron Panopoly, is now focusable again after a bug locked it out entirely, meaning anyone who wants that fashion piece for their next Destiny 2 Iron Banner outing no longer has to pray to RNG. Minor weapon and ability tuning also shipped, none of it worth a paragraph, let alone your attention span.
This is the Destiny 2 last update, full stop. Bungie says a hotfix might surface if something catastrophic breaks, but don't hold your breath, and don't expect them to care if it does. Get your loot, learn the mechanics you've been cheesing for years, and say goodbye properly. Nobody else is going to fix it for you now.

Yes. Bungie calls it their final major patch, with only emergency hotfixes possible afterward, if needed.
Patched out entirely. Divinity damage no longer counts against the boss outside the intended phase.
Salvation's Edge, Vow of the Disciple, Vesper's Host, and Duality, each with distinct armor sets and loot.
Lead from Gold paired with Jolting Feedback, the most popular and reliable PvE combo available.
Yes. Bungie reverted the tether change, restoring the original, less punishing Pantheon mechanic.
