Season 5 drops July 23 with Jubilee, Rex Infernus zombies finale, Widow's Wine, Drone Labs in Verdansk, and a full breakdown of every mode.
The full black ops 7 season 5 roadmap is out, and it turns out Treyarch had a lot more planned than "new battle pass, please buy it." Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone all get a stack of content on the same day, so here is everything confirmed.
Same drill as always. The black ops 7 season 5 release date is Thursday, July 23, 2026, going live at 9 AM PT, 12 PM ET, 5 PM BST across Xbox, PlayStation, Battle.net, and Game Pass Ultimate. A mid season Reloaded update is expected around late August, bringing the biggest Zombies content along with it.
Covering the black ops 7 season 5 multiplayer maps, three arrive on day one. Jubilee is the brand new 6v6 map, set in a rural Japanese town mid festival, joined by remastered versions of Frequency (from Black Ops 4) and Dig (originally Courtyard from World at War, later reworked in Black Ops 2). Mid season adds Turbo Tilt, a Nuketown themed map shrunk down inside a working pinball machine, plus a new Freerun map called Descent.
New modes include Overdrive Domination, where capturing and holding objectives grants Operator buffs, and Gauntlet Rush, a rotating gauntlet of classic modes with a roulette twist. Cranked Moshpit also returns as a mid season limited time mode, because eliminating people on a timer never really gets old.
Rounding out black ops 7 season 5 weapons, the FG42 assault rifle and the dual wield Gremlin SMG unlock through the battle pass on pages three and six. The Mammoth LMG and the Mace melee weapon are earned separately, through in game events and Weekly Challenges rather than pass tiers. A handful of new attachments also land for existing guns, though nothing dramatic enough to rewrite the meta overnight.
| Weapon | Type | How to Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| FG42 | Assault Rifle | Battle Pass, Page 3 |
| Gremlin | Dual Wield SMG | Battle Pass, Page 6 |
| Mammoth | Light Machine Gun | In season event reward |
| Mace | Melee | Weekly Challenge reward |
For the black ops 7 season 5 zombies crowd, launch day brings the Eidskallen Lighthouse survival map, a frozen slice of Totenreich with round milestone rewards, plus Directed Mode support for Kowakujo and a new Rogue Run playlist called Astra Malorum with casual, normal, and hardcore difficulty tiers. None of that is the main event though.
The real headline lands mid season with Rex Infernus, the final round based map and the official conclusion to the Black Ops 7 Zombies storyline. Alongside it, Treyarch is bringing back the Widow's Wine Perk a Cola from Black Ops 3, the Fully Packed GobbleGum, and two new Ultra Rarity legacy weapons in the Olympia shotgun and the TR2 marksman rifle. This is the send off, not just another map.
The black ops 7 season 5 endgame update is lighter than the other modes but not empty. A new assignment called Burn Run has players driving an explosive vehicle through 30 flaming checkpoints in Avalon before time runs out, and a new Exotic Ability Boost system lets players upgrade major and minor abilities with perks like shorter cooldowns and extra ammo, mostly found in Zone Four and Nightmare difficulty loot. Endgame stays free to play for the rest of Season 5, but that window closes once Season 6 begins and the mode becomes exclusive to Black Ops 7 owners.
On the black ops 7 season 5 warzone front, Verdansk gets a new point of interest called Drone Labs, sitting south of the Quarry with two large L shaped buildings and a drone piloting obstacle course out back. New gameplay features include Juggernaut Armor as a fightable public event, shootable Supply Drones for loot, and the HKD killstreak arriving in Resurgence and Battle Royale. Two new limited time modes join the mix: Lockdown Casual, a 12v12 hardpoint style mode built around Drone Labs, and Heavy Metal Heroes, a 50v50 vehicular combat mode in Battle Royale where eliminations earn movement and combat buffs.
Grinding black ops 7 season 5 ranked play gets its own reward track this season, with Resurgence Ranked Play returning across Rebirth Island, Fortune's Keep, and Haven's Hollow, plus the usual multiplayer ranked camos and calling cards tied to division placement.
As for black ops 7 season 5 events, expect an Eidskallen leaderboard event for Zombies handing out camos and a blueprint, a Machine of War event rewarding the Mammoth LMG along with camos and a loading screen, and a Treyarch 30th anniversary login event celebrating the studio's founding in 1996 with a blueprint, calling card, and emblem. Over 40 total weapon camos are earnable across the season through ranked play, events, weekly challenges, and prestige tracks, so completionists have plenty to chase.
Season 5 is widely expected to be Black Ops 7's last full scale seasonal push before the franchise's attention shifts to its October follow up. A shorter Season 6 is still likely before that happens, but if there is unfinished business in Rex Infernus, Ranked Play, or the camo grind, this season is the real window to close it out.
